🎄 Christmas in Dahlonega – Lighting of the Square

The magic of Christmas in Dahlonega begins Friday, November 28th, as twinkling lights and live holiday music fill the air from the Visitor Center balcony. The official Lighting of the Historic Square and Tree takes place at 6:00 PM, marking the start of one of North Georgia’s most beloved holiday traditions.

Festive lights and decorations will continue to shine through January 6th, turning downtown Dahlonega into a storybook setting all season long.

✨ Event Details:

• Road closures and detours begin at 3:30 PM — expect traffic delays near the Square.

• Roads reopen at 7:30 PM.

• In case of severe weather, updates to start times will be posted on the City of Dahlonega website.
